CECI in Sao Tome and Principe

As part of an collaborative effort with the ROC Ministry of Foreign Affairs, CECI provided advisory services to the supervision team during construction of a new two-level fish market building for the trade of fish and refrigeration in the Democratic Republic of Sao Tome and Principe; a small country comprised of two islands located in the Gulf of Guinea in Western Africa.

The new facility is located on the island of Sao Tome near the capital. The lower level is connected to a dock for unloading goods with a parking lot and circulation access, while the upper floor houses numerous retailed stands. Construction was completed in 2008.

Overall Water Resource Development Plan

Also, in view of the limited development and utilization of precious water resources on the islands, CECI's water resource engineering specialists carried out an Overall Water Resource Development Plan for Sao Tome and Principe which aims to help bring about a comparatively long term overall plan for a complete type of water supply in Sao Tome and Principe.

The plan would not only utilize stable, safe and reliable water resources to provide for the water supply system, but at the same time establish an irrigation system for agricultural industries as well as small-scale hydropower plant facilities so as to achieve the objective of providing water to every household.
