CECI in the Kingdom of Swaziland

CECI has seized the opportunity to provide its technical assistance in the economic development of the Kingdom of Swaziland, a small, scenic, landlocked country situated in southern Africa offering great potential for tourism and business investment activities and where the government has already taken the initiative to show travelers its spectacular beauty with the introduction of a new modern international airport.

At the same time construction of a Biotechnology Park is being carried out as part of a new Royal Science and Technology Park development aiming to transform Swaziland into a center of hi-tech industry and Research & Development, and promising investors and manufacturers a superior environment for promoting their business with advanced facilities, attractive incentives and easy access to a huge market.

CECI has already carried out the feasibility study, planning and design for establishing a Biotechnology Park as part of the future Royal Science and Technology Park in the Kingdom of Swaziland and is now undertaking the construction supervision services. Strategically located just west of Manzini City which is the major commercial, industrial and educational centre of the country, the future park will facilitate and promote high-tech industrial development and investment in Swaziland while targeting short, middle and long term industries related to agricultural, bio-fuel, bio-energy and bio-medicine products and services.

The new international airport terminal in Swaziland is a three story building having a total floor space area of 10,000 square meters. The ground floor level handles passenger arrival and check-in departure areas, while the first floor level houses airport administration and management offices and the second floor level maintains the departure lounge areas as well as Duty Free shops, VIP lounges, etc. The peak hour capacity is designed to accommodate 300 passengers per hour and the annual passenger volume is set for 240,000 persons. The theme of the airport represents the honor of the warrior. Visiting guests will be welcomed by the elements of lances and shields in the modern airport that at the same time defend their country all day and night.
